Alex's Teriyaki Turkey Burger
If you’ve attended an event we’ve hosted in the last six years, you’ve experienced some of the “Alex Magic.” Our amazing Event Manager is also our resident Chef, and here she shares a recipe for a teriyaki turkey burger with grilled pineapple and avocado. This will become a BBQ staple, especially with a bottle of our Carneros Chardonnay.

"Okie" Burger
Keith aka our amazing “Okie” has been making Rombauer wine for 36 years and preparing his special burgers for the team almost as long. He kept his recipe secret for decades but recently shared it with us! It’s similar to a regular burger, but a secret and surprising ingredient makes it that much better.

No one would describe this dish as healthy, but it’s a great way to use leftover turkey if you have any from the big day. It’s also delicious if you may have had one extra glass of wine the night before.

Ham Hand Pie
Make these simple hand pies with any leftover ham. Similar to an empanada, these can also be frozen and enjoyed in future weeks. We love trying different mustards for a little bit of a kick.

Mashed Potato Gnocchi
The best part of gnocchi is that it’s a blank canvas for your sauce of choice. Pick a meat sauce or a simple butter sage sauce — whatever you like, this is a great way to shake things up after a big Thanksgiving dinner. It will also freeze for a few months.

Mushroom Ravioli
Looking to mix it up this Thanksgiving? Try these Mushroom Raviolis with our Merlot.

Autumn Chili
We love this chili recipe for its unusual twist of adding a little unsweetened chocolate. This doesn’t make the chili sweet, instead just adding an additional layer of complexity to this delicious dish. Open a classic California Zinfandel which can stand up to such a strongly flavored dish.

Chicken Pot Pie
This is a dish for cool weekend days, when you can take the time to prepare each step. Below is a recipe for making both the chicken and dough from scratch, but feel free to use precooked chicken and frozen dough to make it speedier. A cool glass of Chardonnay with a hot serving of pie is the epitome of comfort food.

Zucchini and Goat Cheese Tarts
Leverage late summer’s zucchinis harvest for this delightful appetizer. The caramelization of the zucchini and the creaminess of the baked goat cheese are an ideal match for our Carneros Chardonnay or our Napa Valley Merlot.

Grilled Corn Salad
This is summer on a plate! This salad is an incredibly versatile base. We love adding avocado, fresh peaches, cherry tomatoes – really anything that looks good at the farmer’s market. We also often add a protein such as seared scallops, grilled salmon, or pork chops to complete the meal. Enjoy!

Baked Brie
A decadent appetizer that is deceptively easy! Feel free to make your own puff pastry, but we like the convenience of using frozen. An optional step is adding a layer of chutney or preserves above the cheese before you wrap the dough; it warms as you bake and adds a surprise and delight to each bite.

Fettuccine Alfredo
This simple dish is a classic for a reason! Rich and delicious on its own, we appreciate its versatility for customization as you wish. Sometimes we add chicken, other times peas and prosciutto, and yet other times we simply enjoy it as it is. Any type of pasta will work, but we love long fettuccine that gets coated in the sauce. The acidity of our Chardonnay cuts through some of the richness while the creamy body of the wine is mirrored on the plate.

Salmon Crostini
Beautiful and delicious, this appetizer is simple to assemble and sure to impress. A tip? Give yourself enough time for the baguette to cool properly so the cream cheese doesn’t melt. Pairs well with our Carneros Chardonnay, the creamy texture of the wine complementing the savory salmon.
