Bacon Wrapped Dates

  • 8 ounces of small pitted dates, such as Deglet Noor or Halawi (if you are using larger pitted dates such as Medjool, use 12 ounces and cut each crosswise into 2 or 3 bite-sized pieces
  • 1 lb sliced bacon, cut into 3-inch pieces (look for a honey or maple bacon if possible)
  • 1 Marcona or roasted almond per date bite (approximately 35-40)

Preheat the oven to 400F.

2Step 2

Tuck an almond inside each date. Wrap one length of bacon around each date and place seam side down on a wire rack set on a rimmed baking sheet.

3Step 3

Bake until the bacon is crisp and well browned, 15 to 18 minutes. Serve warm.
