We are celebrating Women’s History Month by toasting the women of Rombauer, starting with our founder Joan. Joan Rombauer was an incredible woman, a stalwart of the business in its early days. She was warm and wise, a working mom who sometimes brought her kids to work and really shaped many parts of the business into what you know today, including our dedication to warm hospitality.
She was, and remains, a role model for the many women at the winery over the years. She valued integrity, compassion, resourcefulness, and hard work. She loved nature and beauty, creating the stunning garden in St. Helena we have since named after her. We are grateful for her role at Rombauer and know she would be proud of the winery it is today.
