Rombauer Vineyards is pleased to announce the newest addition to our sustainability certifications. We are now Certified California Sustainable in both our vineyards and wineries. This ensures that Rombauer wines were made in a Certified California Sustainable Winery from California-grown grapes, at least 85% from certified sustainable vineyards (including Certified California Sustainable, LODI RULES, or SIP Certified®).
To be certified, we implemented all required practices included in the California Code of Sustainable Winegrowing and complied with prohibitions and restrictions on certain crop-protection materials. To maintain, we actively measure water, energy use, and greenhouse gas emissions for wineries as well as measure water use and applied nitrogen for our vineyards. We are dedicated to continuously improving our sustainability efforts by implementing action plans for ongoing improvements. We will complete a rigorous independent third-party audit to verify our activities and initiatives.
At Rombauer, we continue to look to the future with everything we do today. We’re proud to add this accomplishment to our certifications.
